About Marely
Designer, Dreamer,
Founder
Meet Marely Medina-Fernandez — designer, dreamer, and the founder behind Vivienda Collective. Born in Puerto Rico to Dominican parents and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Marely's story has always been shaped by culture, color, and a deep love of space.
At 14, she moved to the Dominican Republic, where she completed high school and earned her degree in Interior Design — setting the foundation for everything that followed.
Before stepping fully into interiors, Marely spent several years doing visual merchandising for a family-owned chain of fashion jewelry stores, learning firsthand how space, display, and atmosphere influence the way people feel and connect with a brand. That eye for composition and detail has stayed with her ever since.
Back in the United States and settled in the Hudson Valley, New York, Marely is a proud military spouse and mother of two. It is here, rooted in family and fueled by years of kitchen and bath design experience — first at a big box retailer, then at a local kitchen and bath studio — that she sharpened her technical skills and built real, hands-on expertise working alongside clients on some of the most personal spaces in their homes.
Vivienda Collective is where all of that comes together. The name is intentional. Vivienda means home or dwelling in Spanish — a quiet nod to Marely's Hispanic heritage and to her daughter, Vida, whose name inspired the search. Collective speaks to the bigger vision: a collaborative community of skilled professionals working under one roof, offering clients a true one-stop-shop experience from concept to completion.
At Vivienda Collective, Marely brings warmth, cultural richness, and a layered, eclectic approach to every project — whether it's a cozy family home, a commercial space, or a new construction build. Her goal is simple: to create spaces that feel deeply personal, beautifully functional, and unmistakably yours.

The Signature Package
Comprehensive Full-Service Design
Our most sought-after offering. We walk with you through a complete, guided design experience from concept to completion — including detailed drawings, finish and fixture selections, curated product lists, lighting recommendations, and contractor coordination. With up to three rounds of revisions, we ensure the final plan is exactly right for you.
The Immersive Package
Virtual 3D & VR Design Experience
